Dr. Gananathan Govindaswamy AOI Research Paper Award

• Open only to Indian nationals.
• Applicants must be below 35 years of age as on 1 January 2027. Proof of age must be submitted along with the abstract.
• Applicants must be third-year postgraduate students or have completed their postgraduate degree within one year prior to the conference.
• Both MS ENT and DNB ENT candidates are eligible to apply.
• A certificate from the Head of Department confirming that the applicant has conducted original research work is mandatory.
• The research work must not have been published, presented elsewhere, or copied.
• Case reports and videos will not be accepted.
• An appropriate Ethics Committee clearance certificate must be submitted.
• The research must not be sponsored by a private company or the government.
• AOI National Committee members, their relatives, and AOICON 2027 Organising Committee members are not eligible to apply.
• Duration of presentation: 8 minutes.
• Submission deadline: 1 December 2026.

Dr. R. A. F. Cooper Award — Original Article (Junior Consultant)

• Open to junior consultants holding a postgraduate degree or diploma in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery.
• Applicants must be below 35 years of age as on 1 January 2027. Proof of age must be submitted along with the abstract.
• A full original article in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery must be submitted.
• The article must not have been published prior to its presentation.
• Abstracts must not be submitted in PowerPoint presentation format.
• The winner will have the opportunity to present in the Main Hall on the first day of the conference.
• The winning article will be published as the lead article in IJOHNS.
• Duration of presentation: 20 minutes, including a 5-minute introduction.
• Submission deadline: 1 December 2026.
• The original research article must be emailed to the AOI Honorary Secretary, Dr. Samir Chaudhary at aoisecretary3@gmail.com .

AOI Young ENT Surgeon Award 2026

Applications will be accepted from 15 to 30 November 2026.

The resume must include the following details, where applicable:

• Name
• Date of birth; the applicant must be below 40 years of age as on 1 January 2027.
• AOI Life Membership number and duration of AOI membership
• Duration of professional experience
• Professional qualifications
• Fellowships and training programmes attended
• Publications in indexed journals
• Number of conference presentations, including platform and poster presentations
• Keynote addresses and invited talks at the national level
• Leadership or participation in community-based programmes/NGOs
• Contributions to professional offices other than AOI
• Contributions or work towards the AOI office

Dr. S. L. Jaiswal Video Award Session

• Video can be on any subject related to ENT disorders – Diagnosis, Management, Prevention, Surgery, Patient Education, etc.
• Video should be in MPEG 3 / MPEG 4 / AVI format.
• A committee of 3 nominated members will judge the session. The committee’s decision will be based on the content and technical expertise and will be final.
• Only the first twenty videos received before the due date will be accepted for the contest.
• Participants who have not received the Dr. S. L. Jaiswal Video Award Session in the last two years will be eligible to participate in the competition.
• Duration of presentation: 6 minutes.
